Around May 23 I called Georgia DOT and asked if they kept records on private airports, like Florida does. I spoke with Jack JoinerAviation Project Manager(404) 651-5204 (Jack.Joiner@dot.state.ga.us). He said both Georgia and Alabama do not keep state records like Florida does.
Thus, given the discrepencies found between Florida state records and FAA 5010 records for airports (about 75% were different), it is expected the contact rate of AL/GA airports will be lower than for Florida.
